I'm beyond lucky to have my friend Erin Hosier. Not only do we share the same first name, but she's an amazing lady and dear pal who also happens to be a bonafide Product Fiend. Since I can't always test every single product in the world, she used to come to the beauty closet in my old office and load up on goodies, and now, when she comes from NYC to visit me at my "country house," I send her home with a few guys I haven't gotten around to yet. In a fit of caffeine-fueled fiendery, she wrote this review of a new Artistry product, and was gracious enough to share it with the class, after the jump!

You gals might already know that I am deeply devoted to Sjal. Their delicious Cela Intuitif cream is a freakin' godsend. Thing is, they don't come up with new products often, which may be aggravating, but I think that's probably a good thing and says that either they're super lazy or not willing to shuffle any old thing down the line. (Given their sparkling reputation, most likely, it's the latter.) But the good news is, the beauty stork just brought two yummy new Sjal additions my way, and I can't recommend them more...

Today I wanted to introduce you to a new foundation I've been testing from one of my favorite brands, Shu Uemura, that comes out next month. As I alluded to in Part One of our humble little mini-series, it's like the 31 flavors of foundation, because it comes in so many shades. The reasons for this are two-fold: One, you're guaranteed to find one that will work for you. Two, Shu is betting you might be willing to buy more than one in order to layer colors to "re-sculpt" your face. Check it out...

New foundations have recently come across my desk that are totally noteworthy for how fabulously they fake flawless skin, which is a weapon we all need to bust out now and then. Personally, I always feel like less is more, and if you have great skin, you should flaunt it (covered in sunscreen, natch). Still, like I said, there are days when more aggressive action comes in handy.

Every once in awhile, I dig around in my home beauty closet (and oh yes, just like Kimora Lee Simmons, I do have one), and come across a delicious-looking product that for some reason or another, I haven't gotten around to trying yet. And shiver me timbers, I was in for a treat when I came across this bad boy.

Ever wish there was a magical cure for making your skin look instantly flawless? Us too. Unfortunately, there is no um, Criss Angel of skincare--trust me, that's a good thing--but there are some products and techniques that can help your skin look better fast. Here's a handy cheat sheet...

Oh, I am fortune's fool. My favorite new facial product is tainted, and I have no one but myself to blame.

It all started when I got my grubby little fingers on my latest In Fiore obsession, a delicious concoction of herbs and spices also known as Lustra Cleansing Balm Concentre. I think it did more for my oft-punished mug in one week than a whole month of Proactiv Solution ever did, and if they're ever interested in contacting me to do Home Shopping Network commercials or whatever, well, sign me up! (Though somehow I get the feeling that's highly unlikely.)

So I had to travel for the 20 millionth time last week, and since a major drawback for a jet set gal such as I is that this jar isn't really TSA-friendly, I was sadly forced to leave it behind. Imagine, if you will, me a week later, stumbling in from a kill-me-with-another-layover West Coast red eye, jumping in the shower, and looking forward to one small pleasure and one alone: slathering that sweet sweet Lustra balm all over my tired, sagging face. I unscrewed the lid, I inhaled deeply, I feasted my eyes on the prize, and lo and behold: The surface of the product was covered with spots of fuzzy, foul mold.

Just when I thought Space NK couldn't get any more fabu, they just started importing Huiles and Baumes, an old-money line Frenchies on vacay in the Alps don't leave home without tucked into their understated and tasteful Longchamp totes alongside their soft Petit Bateau tees. I've been carrying it around and using it on dry spots--elbows, cuticles, and lips--but apparently, I've been underutilizing this do-it-all: it's got anti-inflammatory arnica, pain-relieving carapa and callophyllum, and of course jojoba and shea butter to moisturize. In addition to being an extremely glamorous portable first aid kit, it's organic and natural, plus one 50 g jar lasts forever. My Rosebud Salve is getting kinda jealous.
