![]() Image via Stila For those that think full-on foundation looks too heavy, tinted moisturizer is a savior. It makes your skin look like yours, but better, ya know? I've been devoted to my Chanel Hydramax SPF 15 for ages. Even though it's $55, it lasts a long time and all you need is a tiny bit for coverage without the masky look, an extra layer of sunscreen and a nice, glowy radiance. But let's face it: Times are tough and in the interest of saving some cash, I am so open to cheaper alternatives. And thanks be, I found what I was looking for...
![]() Image via waxandbubbles.com I've probably tried 100 cleansers already this summer (some better than others), but one way most have failed me is that on ridiculously hot days, my skin still looks a bit greasy--not to be confused with dewy, which is fine--and just doesn't feel as clean as I want it to. Now just as there are way too many face washes on the market, the same goes for toner. But honestly, once you try Witch Hazel--which covers all your bases because it's not only a blemish-fighting astringent, but also an anti-oxidant--you probably won't feel the need to try anything else. Plus it's cheap and convenient: you'll find it's available at every drugstore in America for like, $4.00! I like good old-fashioned Dickinson's (oooh check their "fancy" new label design), and I think you will too.
![]() Image via Dermelect Okay, well maybe that's a slight exaggeration but I can say that I've found the missing link in my summer skincare regimen and it's really just the perfect thing for us shiny, not-so-happy, acne prone chicks. Dermelect Pore Revolution and T-Zone Mattifier is just a freakin' godsend, especially if you have this reader's dilemma--showing up to work oily--or if you're headed to summer concerts and other events where you don't want to look like a wrinkly grease monkey zit face (cute!).
![]() The concept of the oh-so-trendy now staycation always seemed kind of dreamy to me, since how often do you get to spend an entire vacation enjoying the comforts of home? Yes, I love to travel, and have been many amazing places, but after countless delays, strained muscles and crazy scary flight attendants, the staycation appeals. Recently, I noticed that I really, really needed a manicure and pedicure, and then thought, hey, why not book a facial as well, and do a whole spa day kinda show? Then I looked up the price list at a new place I've been wanting to try. Gadzooks! The three services together would cost as much as an actual plane ticket to the Bahamas (off season, but still)...I then made up my mind to create my very own spa staycation.
