Confession time: I review a lot of products and you'll notice that I'm very careful not to talk about my absolute favorite whatever it is. I mean, there are a lot of great cleansers out there, many that I get to try for free, but very few that I absolutely love and get really excited about using. But if you were to look behind my shower curtain right now, you'd see an almost empty bottle of Philosophy's Purity Made Simple that I bought with my own hard cash. In fact, like the Best of Sephora judges and the voters of the Allure Readers Choice Awards, I can say with a clear conscience that Purity Made Simple is my absolute favorite liquid facial cleanser, hands down.

Don't tell Sephora this but at $20 for 8 ounces, it's a steal and I'd probably pay double. Lest you think that I've been staring at the zen statements in the morning, drinking in the Philosophy Kool-Aid, I loathe using toner because it makes me feel like Leatherface, but some cleansers need a little help neutralizing all of that base residue. Purity glides on, seemingly melts away the makeup and crud and then rinses away clean without the need to use harsh alcohols. And that's it. What you need, Purity delivers. A soft touchable super clean face that doesn't have any acne from overstimulated (or overcompensating) pores. Sometimes it really is that simple. And that, my fellow Fiends, is bank.

Absolutely agreed! It's seriously the BEST cleanser out there.
I'm on to about my 15th bottle (been using it for years) Have loved it over all others. It's gentle, non irritating, get's makeup off in seconds (even eye makeup) without rubbing at your eyes and it's doesn't leave skin feeling dry or greasy. Don't know what I'd do without it!
