Personally, I'm wary of Kiehl's foraying into advanced skincare. I like to think of them as my old-school East Village apothecary with all the vintage motorcycles in the store and happy workers in lab coats doling out free samples of simple moisturizers and tonics. Still, times change, and you Kiehl's fiends out there might be happy to hear the news that they've added two brand spankin' new products to their Bright collection:

There's Brightening Botanical Hydrating Mask to even skin tone, a concoction I like because it's so soothing on the skin, and Brightening Botanical Spot Treatment for targeting sun spots. Both incorporate a high concentration of calcium pantetheine sulfonate, a potent melanin inhibitor, and ellagic acid, a skin brightener derived from strawberries. Um, I guess now is the time I should let you know that the mask retails $40.00 for 2.5 ounces, and the spot treatment rings in at $50.00 for one ounce. Still, if you're a die-hard Kiehl's devotee, my guess is you'll go for it. So there ya go.

Is it worth it? Well, that's hard for me to say. It's probably a question best left to you and your ATM balance. Was my skin ridiculously soft and luminous looking after using the mask? Well, if I do say so myself...
