![]() Image via Artistry I'm beyond lucky to have my friend Erin Hosier. Not only do we share the same first name, but she's an amazing lady and dear pal who also happens to be a bonafide Product Fiend. Since I can't always test every single product in the world, she used to come to the beauty closet in my old office and load up on goodies, and now, when she comes from NYC to visit me at my "country house," I send her home with a few guys I haven't gotten around to yet. In a fit of caffeine-fueled fiendery, she wrote this review of a new Artistry product, and was gracious enough to share it with the class, after the jump! Hey Erin, I just wanted to rave about this product you sent me home with recently. You've given me so many lovely creams and potions over the years, but you know better than anyone that this stuff is often most exciting when it's still in its unopened package. Everything works to some degree, but it's kind of rare that something feels as good as its promise. Lately I've been trying to simplify my daily regimen since it's almost summer, which for me means little to no makeup on the weekends, and the avoidance of any heavy creams or moisturizers at night. But it seems I'm forever using products to treat acne-prone skin, and while they do their thing and keep my skin clear, they don't exactly feel or smell very special. So the other day my skin was looking kind of ruddy and blah, and I spotted this product by Artistry Essentials called simply "Soothing Creme." Aside from its bashful packaging, it even sounded boring--soothing cream--but I think I've been underestimating how much my skin needed soothing. Basically, it just feels perfect on my skin. It's not at all greasy, and goes on kind of cool and light and velvety. Instantly, I feel calmer and totally balanced and glow-y and soft. I have been using it morning and night since last week, and one major bonus is that it works well as a base for makeup (so no need for an extra step in the way of a primer, if you're into that kind of thing, which I am). The only bummer about it is that it doesn't come in a bigger jar (though at $22.50 for 1 oz., I would have paid a lot more). Xo, E2 2 CommentsLeave a comment |

I have a jar of the soothing cream, but I don't use it daily. I use it regularly after tweezing my brows and in the winter I use it on my poor wind chapped cheeks. (Darn below zero weather!)
I just love the Artistry Essentials Soothing Cream! I use this product after a long day out in the sun...It is great to also put on sunburn!!! Anyone interested in the product...it can be found at my personal website lhall16.qhealthbeauty.com
