![]() Image via L'Occitane It's hard to get excited about bar soap, isn't it? Unless the packaging is out-of-this-world amazing-looking (rendering the product "giftable,") or it smells like your own personal version of heaven, it's always a bit, "eh." In fact, I probably would have converted to body wash long ago, were it not for my live-in boyfriend, who seems to have this odd, wary aversion to it and insists that we also have bar soap in stock at all times in the (admittedly already cramped) bathtub. Oh wonders of wonders, I just stumbled on a bar soap that actually got me just about as excited as is humanly possible when it comes to being revved up about a piece of soap (mild on the list, yet still, remarkable. The incredible, edible grape has been making a play for skincare MVP for awhile now (Caudalie bet their brand on it), so its antioxidant, detoxification benefits are pretty well known at this point. Therefore, L'Occitane's new-ish Grape Exfoliating Body Bar can easily be looked over, but take a closer gander my friend! The pleasant but not overly grapey vegetable-based soap is made from real organic grape juice and grape seed oil, but that's not all! It also contains apricot kernel powder to exfoliate, and I don't know about you, but having a combination scrub and soap in one is five minutes off total shower time, ya know? So there's all that going on, but if you use it everyday, you get bonus detoxifying benefits, too. Lately, I've found myself suspiciously eying body wash as well... |
