Sometimes it's really funny when my boyfriend, who washes his face with the same soap he uses on his body (duh), comments on the products I'm currently testing. Like this morning, when I was slathering on Shiseido's White Lucent Brightening Massage Cream. I was doing a compare/contrast of my testing arm versus my sadly neglected control group arm, when I exclaimed, "Wow, this stuff makes your skin look really wet," to which he responded, "Sweet, is it one of those tingly products?"
Now, I'm not absolutely sure what he's referring to, although I think it might have something to do with sex and/or the Vicks Vapor Rub I get down with sometimes before bed. (Not to worry, I assured him, I'll have the editors at Product Fiend send some of those cool "tingly" products over ASAP...)

So uh, back to Shiseido. Released in September 2005, this addition to their brightening White Lucent skincare line smells a bit on the perfumey side, so if you're opposed to the smelly stuff then don't even bother. The label is also a bit misleading: "massage cream?" Do I put this on my shoulders or my face? I'm pretty sure it's the face (or in this case, my left arm), but if I'm wrong then Shiseido, you know where to find me. Anyway, I am sure that it's one of those rare gem products that immediately soak right into your skin, doesn't feel greasy or sticky on, and has whitening and brightening benefits but also hydrates beautifully and gives your skin the kind of luminosity a gal (or guy) usually associates with a serum. In fact, the whole wet look I referred to goes away once it sinks in, but it is pretty strikingly sexy for the first minute or so.

Now, if only it had some of that "tingly" stuff in it.
