Late one night, I was getting ready for bed and was walking around the house in the dark when I crossed paths with my husband. He has horrible night vision but stopped short and exclaimed, "Wendy, what the hell do you have on your face?" You see, about ten minutes earlier, I blindly applied Sonya Dakur's Drying Potion for the first time to a premature zit. I flipped on the lights and checked a mirror. I had basically painted my face with a much more pleasant-smelling cousin of Wite-Out. This would be why you apply the stuff before bedtime, of course, and not before heading out to the office. That was a close call.

As unsightly as it seems, this Sonya Dakur chick really knows her zit zappers. You've probably done the dab of toothpaste or Queen Helene Mint Julep mask before, but after those low-brow remedies, I'm always left with a reddish, scaly, irritated zone of skin that is harder to cover than if I'd just let the zit run its course. But the lovely lavender and peppermint white lotion has Dead Sea sulfur in it, so naturally-occurring collagens keep the treated area from looking like a nuclear blasting site. And I may or may not have painted a little white mustache on myself, then looked in the mirror and said "Got Milk?"

Verdict: ditch the teenage remedies, because for a tidy $25, this little bottle will do the trick. Also, did I mention that it smells good? Because it smells really good; a little strong but very much like a men's steam room, all minty and fresh. I kind of wish Sonya made a cologne, actually, that smelled exactly like this zit stuff. Get on that, Sonya!
