Trust me, I know how important it is to wear sunscreen everyday. But that all falls out the window when I visit a hot, humid climate, because I already have oily skin, so it tends to melt right off, and then I break out. Instead of being able to wear a product, I have to resort to an unsightly, large, floppy sunhat, the kind your mom wore in the '70s. Now, thanks to Clarins's brilliant new HydraQuench line, there's a solution for us oily, sensitive, acne-prone types.

The new HydraQuench Multi-Climate Care line aims to be the ultimate skincare solution for anyone who is exposed to a hot and humid climate, like say, Houston in the summertime. It addresses the problems of enlarged pores and shine, plus the loss of moisture that results from sweating (ironic, no?). I've been roadtesting HydraQuench Lotion SPF 15, and I really can endorse it as a sunscreen that not only works, but keeps your face matte all day. It's also formulated with pomegranate pericarp to tighten pores, alpine willow herb to limit sebum secretion (yum, sebum secretion), and katafray bark, which "works at the corneal layer level to stimulate the transformation of epidermal keratinocytes into new corneal cells and works at the epidermus level to boost synthesis of NMF," whatever the F  that means.
