This is the time of year when beauty companies send editors lavish gifts to thank them for their "support" all year. Don't get me wrong, this perk is amazing, but it's nice to see that some companies are going an alternative route and making charitable donations in beauty editors' names instead.

For example, L'Oréal just sent me a lovely card that said they'd made a donation to the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund in my name, which I loved! Anyway, it got me thinking about skin care companies that give back, so here are a few links to companies big and small that will make lots of donations for the holidays in addition to year round contributions:

Just Nature skin care works with Conserve and TAPS.

For every bar of soap sold, Pallas Athene Soaps donates one to local organizations in California.

Avon gives tons of money to breast cancer research and awareness each year, as does Estée Lauder.
