![]() Image via Borba There's been a longstanding controversy between old wives and derms. Old wives will tell you that eating bacon cheeseburgers, Snickers bars, etc. will cause you to break out, and dermatologists will shrug and say diet has little to do with how your skin looks. Still, holistic experts beg to differ, and do insist that sticking to a vitamin-rich, whole foods kind of program can do wonders for your skin, and I have to say I think they have a point. Maybe that's why I'm gaga for Borba, a beauty line largely made up of ingestible skin care. I've been tossing back their Skin Balance Water like it's going out of style: I like the pomegranate-laced Clarifying blend, but they also have "Age Defying," "Replenishing," and "Firming" options as well. They also have treats called Gummi Boosters, delicious, naturally-sweetened gummi bears that taste like apple cider (to me anyway) and have açai and green tea to make your skin glow. You're only supposed to snack on a few a day, but I ate the whole bag because that's just how committed I am to having great looking skin, duh. |
