![]() Image via Prevage Erin: Hey Wendy, whaddya think of the new Prevage night cream? It's kind of freaky how it insta makes your skin shimmery, but not quite in a Paris Hilton-circa-1999 way (or uh, now-ish way). More of an eerie glow-from-within Cate Blanchett on the red carpet kind of moment. My only hesitation is that it smells kinda weird. Thoughts!? Wendy: There is a definite funky smell and the weirdly off-putting color (I haven't seen that shade of yellow since I was a kid, poring over a 1977 Sears Catalog Wish Book) but I'm willing to put up with it for all the magical prettiness. I didn't notice the shimmery fairy glow but I did notice that the color and texture of my skin seemed to change and get very smooth and pretty, even after the very first application.

Four hundred bucks isn't that much to pay for good serum, right?! Right?!" To which she responded with a moment of silence, perhaps in shock that I, a drugstore cowgirl if ever there was one, would ever utter such words. Can I just say that it feels right?
Image via Splash I'm not the biggest Black Eyed Peas fan...I mean, I'm not even sure what they sing. And I know Fergie may have masterminded that kind of tacky "Humps" song, or at least she sang it anyway, but I'm not holding it against her. Know why? Because I was lucky enough to do a shoot with her a few years ago (it was a "Makeunder": she was guilty-ish of overdoing it just a tad), and I have to say, she was one of the coolest celebs I've ever been forced to work with.

There are two things I buy on Amazon, and they are books, and naturally, beauty products. I mean, they're so freakin specific it's sickening. They anticipate exactly what you want (sort of like iTunes), before you even know you want it, in a refreshingly non-confrontational way (perfume sprayers at the dept store anyone?). As long as you don't have a shopping addiction and aren't tempted to buy everything they suggest, this is a completely benign, yet helpful and eerily fascinating feature. A recent browsing sesh made me think about what other online venues are just waiting to make your day. Well um, and fill their own pockets, natch.
