The difference between a good makeup artist and a world famous superstah makeup guru is all in the details. One thing I've noticed at photo shoots is that a brazilliant makeup artist will often bring a little extra super secret wonder product to massage into the model or celeb's face to make it extra camera-ready. Luckily for us, back in 1996, Laura Mercier decided to go public with hers: she worked with her team to come up with the now classic Foundation Primer, a yummy mix of natural flower and herbal extracts like lavender, green tea and geranium that she works into the skin right after the moisturizer and pre-foundation. It basically forms a screen-like barrier on the skin so makeup goes on super smooth. Having a ridiculously good skin day? Skip the makeup and sport the product alone, like this Laura Mercier client probably does. Do you use LM's Foundation Primer? Come forth with your reviews.
