It takes me about a day to mentally recover from taking a red eye flight across the country, but my face holds a grudge for about a week, with the skin around my eyes being a total drama queen. Get over it, eyes, I sometimes have a rock star's lifestyle and there's nothing you can say about it! Thankfully, Elizabeth Arden introduced Intervene Eye Pause & Effect Moisture eye cream in June 2007 and it's the only thing that seems to shut down those evil fine lines and dark circles. The little pot gets some precious space inside the quart-sized Ziploc carry-on bag required by the TSA because a dab before the drink cart means that I'm walking down the jetway looking fresh and well-rested (even though a guy with halitosis exhaled on me for the entire flight). The best part is that it goes on pretty dry, so I can apply makeup almost immediately afterward. Unfortunately, at $42 for half an ounce, it's definitely a splurge for those of us on a coach budget.

Now that I've stowed my eye baggage, I can concentrate on more important things, like how to upgrade to First Class.
