I just discovered how fabulous Avène products are. They're sort of like the Neutrogena of France in that they offer simple, efficacious, dermatologist-recommended drugstore products. Avène claims their line works because the thermal water is packed in a sterile compartment at the spring, and this spray uses silica to leave a soothing barrier over the skin. One spritz of the cooling mist and all the red blotchiness I've tried everything to get rid of actually goes away. In fact, maybe they should call it "Holy Water."
